February Music Roundup

February Music Roundup

Hey all. It's been a hot minute. Sorry about that, life just gets in the way sometimes. Anyway, I'm back and I've got a new playlist for you. It's a fun little list with a wide variety of style and genres. This post also happens to be the first ever Monthly Roundup, in place of my previous Music Monday posts. If you don't care about my thoughts and want to just listen for yourself just check out the list below or scroll to the bottom of this post for links to Apple Music and Spotify Playlists. Ok, ready? Let's go!

  1. Arizona - Alexander Fairchild
  2. Help - Fred Nicolas
  3. Strangers - Before you Exit
  4. Head vs Heart - Hotel Apache
  5. Lover, Don't Leave - Citizen Shade
  6. Kids in Love - The Night Game
  7. Boarding It Up - Refs
  8. Wicked Lies - Elliot Root
  9. Dark in the City - Jordy Searcy
  10. Never Enough - Loren Allred

--1. Arizona kicks off the list, one of my absolute favorite songs right now. Grungy with a "The Killers" vibe. -- 2. I've had Help on repeat for over two months now. I don't have any specific thing about this song that I love but I can't stop listening. -- 3. Strangers is a little bit of a newer find for me, but I really love the guy's voice. -- 4. Head vs Heart is pretty much a typical song I would love. Pop, emo, shiny, and clean sounding. -- 5. I cannot get enough of the vocals on Lover, Don't Leave. The lows and highs fit together throughout the song so perfectly without feeling forced and it's just not the kind of song you hear everyday. -- 6. I've talked about The Night Game on a previous post. I just love everything he/they put out, Kids in Love is no different. It's retro, vibey, and nostalgic. -- 7. Boarding It Up was something I stumbled across recently and it's found it's way into my regular rotation. I also always end up singing this hook to myself lately, its just so catchy.  -- 8. If you like Alexander Fairchild and James Bay this song Wicked Lies by Elliot Root falls somewhere in between them. Definitely worth a listen. -- 9. Dark in the City is more of a standard singer songwriter, acoustic driven tune than I normally get into but there's just something about this song that I love. -- 10. If you haven't seen The Greatest Showman yet, you are missing out. I have had this soundtrack on repeat for weeks. Every song is great but Never Enough is iconic. Loren Allred sounds soo perfect.

Thanks as always for joining me, especially this time after a long break.

PS - Thanks Madison Paige Anderson for the pic.
