Fire - Anna Of the North - Fire
I love me some good pop, Anna Of The North consistently delivers. Her stuff is catchy, usually features some great synths and a smooth, chill vocal. Also, can we talk about her album/single covers? Her recent ones are of her and a random white animal, you should look them up. She's just the coolest.
Alleluia - Eric Whitacre - Water Night
I've really loved Eric Whitacre's work for awhile now. He originally penned this piece for a wind symphony, and it was titled October. Later, he was moved to arrange the piece for a choral ensemble and renamed it alleluia, the lyric he chose for the song. I originally found October and was pleasantly surprised when his Water Night album came out and this version was on there. They're both so moving and beautiful. Depending on your preference I suggest you give at least one of the versions a shot.
brand new eyes - Bea Miller - brand new eyes
There's nothing quite like a great feel good song, this song is one of those. The steady beat, up lifting lyric and fun "oohs" make it so you can't help but dance and sing along. Songs like this are my favorite road trip jams. The movie this song is from isn't out yet but the trailer will give you all the feels. The Mountain - Ed Prosek - Flesh & Blood Part 1
This song takes a fun trip back and forth in what almost feels like two different songs between the chorus and verses. Somehow through the differences it all just works so well. I don't have anything elaborate to say about the song. I belt this one everyday in my car and felt it was definitely worth a share.
Full Of Faith - Cody Carnes - Full Of Faith
Just released last week, Full Of Faith is a great new song that is definitely Christian without being a stereotypical P&W song. It has a message, it isn't vague, and it is cool while steering clear of the corny vibe that some Christian songs can fall into. I'm really looking forward to what's next from Cody.
